Dedicated to Juan Downey, one of the most emblematic Chilean artists of the second half of the 20th century, the present publication includes the most complete compilation of his works to date, together with new critical studies by leading specialists.

The first section brings together the work of Juan Downey in chronological order, anthologises texts written by Downey and presents a varied collection of ephemera, such as photographs, invitations and extracts from his diaries. The second section includes essays by renowned specialists who approach the short but prolific career of the Chilean artist from different perspectives.
